Jamiroquai and Spongecell

Jamiroquai recently received a nice write-up in Mashable for embracing aspects of web 2.0 in their new website and across social networks. Mashable is the world’s largest blog on social networking, and their coverage of Jamiroquai highlights how artists can benefit from embracing widgets to promote themselves:

“The whole purpose of a music artist or group participating in web 2.0 culture is the act of viral promotion and integrating with existing social networks. And that means widgets. True, this is something that most artists and bands have already taken advantage of, but let’s look at the whole picture. Jamiroquai has done a complete overhaul and has adopted pretty much every social networking tool out there, including RSS, and online marketing.”

Mashable highlighted how Jamiroquai uses Spongecell to promote events in their new website and across social networks. We’ve all been fans of Jamiroquai since he emerged in the early 90s in the midst of the acid jazz revival, and we’re proud to see they have embraced Spongecell.
